Robert Federici, M.D., is a cardiologist whose practice is focused on interventional cardiology.  His clinical interests include the treatment of complex coronary artery disease, including chronic total occlusions (CTO) and hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy (HOCM).  Dr. Federici strives to treat patients as if they were members of his own family and enjoys helping them live active, healthy lifestyles.
 
Dr. Federici earned his medical degree at Georgetown University Medical School, where he graduated first in his class. Dr. Federici completed an internal medicine residency at Stanford University Medical Center in California and a fellowship in interventional cardiology at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina.  He is board certified in interventional cardiology. 
 

 

Sharif Halim, MD

Sharif Halim, M.D., provides preventive care and diagnosis for a wide range of health issues related to the heart, including coronary heart disease, heart attacks, heart valve disorders, congenital heart defects, heart rhythm disorders, heart failure and other structural heart disorders.  Dr. Halim is board certified in echocardiography, internal medicine and interventional cardiology. 
 
Dr. Halim received his bachelor's degree in chemistry, specializing in biochemistry, from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville.  He earned his medical degree from Ohio State University College of Medicine in Columbus.  Dr. Halim completed a residency in internal medicine and a cardiovascular disease fellowship at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina.  Dr. Halim earned a master's degree in health sciences, focusing on clinical research from Duke University School of Medicine, where he also completed a clinical research fellowship, as well as a structural and interventional cardiology fellowship.

 

Aamer Rehman, MD

Aamer Rehman, M.D., MRCP, is a cardiologist who specializes in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular diseases, including coronary heart disease, heart attacks, heart valve disorders, congenitial heart defects, heart rhythm disorders, and heart failure. 
 
He also performs cardiac catheterizations to examine heart arteries.  Dr. Rehman received his undergraduate degree in pre-medicine from Cadet College Kohat in Pakistan.  He earned his medical degree from Khyber Medical College in Peshawar, Pakistan.  He also trained in England and is a member of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the United Kingdom.  He completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Louisville in Kentucky. 
 
He is fluent in English, Urdu, and Pashto and enjoys reading, watching movies, and playing squash in his free time.

Khaldoon Alaswad, M.D., is a cardiology specialist in Detroit, Michigan and has been practicing for 14 years.  He graduated from the University of Damascus, Faculty of Medicine in 1990 and specializes in cardiology and interventional cardiology.

William Gray, M.D., is an interventional cardiologist and nationally recognized leader in endovascular and structural cardiac medicine.
 
Dr. Gray is board-certified in internal medicine, general cardiology and interventional cardiology, as well as in endovascular and vascular medicine. He earned his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine. He completed an internal medicine residency and year as chief resident at Brown University/Rhode Island Hospital, where he also completed cardiology and interventional cardiology fellowships. Dr. Gray is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a fellow of the Society for Cardiac Angiography and Intervention. He serves on the editorial board of JACC Cardiac Interventions and is a reviewer for several other peer-reviewed cardiovascular publications.
 
William L. Lombardi, MD

William Lombardi, M.D., is the director for Complex Coronary Artery Disease Therapies in the Regional Heart Center Cardiology Clinic at University of Washington Medical Center.  Dr. Lombardi is an expert in cardiac catheterization and interventional cardiology.  He joined UW Medicine in 2014. 
 
Dr. Lombardi earned his medical degree at Tulane Medical School, New Orleans, Louisiana.  He completed his internal medicine residency and fellowships in cardiology, heart failure/cardiac transplant and interventional cardiology at the University of Utah, Salt Lake City.  He is board certified in interventional cardiology and cardiovascular disease. 
 
Dr. Lombardi's clinical interests include interventional cardiology and cardiac catheterization.  He has focused much of his research efforts on developing and refining coronary chronic total occlusions and complex coronary artery procedures with great efficacy and reproducibility.
 
Dr. Lombardi is a UW associate clinical professor of medicine in the division of Cardiology. 
 
Charles Wilkins, MD
San Juan Regional Medical Center
 
Charles Wilkins, M.D., is a graduate of Tulane University School of Medicine.  He completed 
his internship at Parkland Hospital and internal medicine residency at Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas. After serving four years in the U.S. Air Force, Dr. Wilkins completed his cardiology training at the Texas Heart Institute in Houston. He has practiced for over 20 years in Austin and Lubbock. Dr. Wilkins was a Councilor for the Texas Chapter of the American College of Cardiology, a founding member of the Texas Heart Institute Cardiac Society, and President of the Texas Club of Cardiology. He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in internal medicine, cardiovascular diseases, and recertified in interventional cardiology.
 
In 2008, Dr. Wilkins and his associate Dr. Luther Weathers established an interventional cardiology program without surgery on site at San Juan Regional Medical Center in Farmington New Mexico. The program has since grown to 9 cardiologists with offices in Bayfield and Cortez, Colorado. San Juan Regional Heart Center currently participates in 5 national registries (ACTION, PCI, ICD, PVI and PINNACLE) and is an accredited PCI Center by the Society of Chest Pain Centers.  In 2014, SJRMC received the Silver Achievement Award for the ACTION Registry-GWTG, in 2015 the Silver Achievement Award, Mission: Lifeline STEMI Receiving Center and in 2016 the Gold Achievement Award, Mission: Lifeline STEMI Receiving Center.

Kayvan A Ellini, MD

Kayvan Ellini, M.D., joined The Heart Center at Presbyterian in 2008.  His professional interests include interventional cardiology, cardiovascular imaging, valvular heart disease, and preventive cardiology. He strives to care using evidence-based medicine. Dr. Ellini is a big believer in preventive cardiology, promoting the power of regular exercise and lifestyle change to his patients. 
 
Dr. Ellini graduated from the University of New Mexico School of Medicine and completed his cardiology training in Los Angeles at Kaiser Permanente-UCLA Affiliate.
 
Dr. Ellini is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular diseases, interventional cardiology, and nuclear cardiology.

 

 
Leonardo Macias, MD

Leonardo Macias, M.D., is a cardiologist who helps his patients manage health issues relating to the heart. He specializes in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular diseases, including coronary heart disease, heart attacks, heart valve disorders, congenital heart defects, heart rhythm disorders, and heart failure. 
 
Dr. Macias earned his medical degree from Autonomous University of Baja California in Mexico.  He completed a residency in internal medicine, serving as chief resident, as well as a fellowship in cardiology at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center in Albuquerque. 
Guilherme Marin, MD

Guilherme Bromberg Marin, M.D., joined The Heart Center at Presbyterian in 2010.  His interest is in coronary, carotid and peripheral vascular disease.  His practice philosophy is "Treat often, comfort always, feel better."
 
Dr. Marin graduated from the Medical School of Ribeirao Preto, University of Sao Paulo, Brazil and completed his cardiology fellowship at the University of Alabama in Birmingham.  He completed an interventional cardiology fellowship with peripheral interventional training at the University of California, San Diego.  
 
Dr. Marin also completed advanced certifications as a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation for Vascular Ultrasound; Nuclear Cardiology; and Echocardiography.
