Course Overview

This conference is designed to provide an update on the most current evidence-based diagnostic and treatment strategies for your patients.  A dynamic mix of lectures and case presentations from national and regional cardiovascular experts will be used to provide an academically sound and clinically relevent cardiology review.

Course Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to:
  • Assemble the appropriate multidisciplinary team, imaging technologies and catheter equipment to perform structural heart disease interventions.
  • Cite the current indications for catheter-based techniques, including transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), transcatheter mitral valve repair, left atrial appendage occulison, ASD and paravalvular leaks.
  • Explain the indications for hemodynamic support for patients undergoing high risk complex PCI and cardiogenic shock.
  • Discuss the utility of and technical skills needed to perform chronic total occulusion intervention.

Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 6.25 MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program.   Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity.  It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.
